| New model | 2008 Paris Motor Show | 2009 Peugeot 308 CC |
The latest Peugeot coupé-cabriolet has been revealed. Powered by a 2.0-litre HDi engine the 308 CC promises to have more room and extra equipment compared to its predecessor, the 307 CC.
Peugeot has given the 308 CC some thoughtful new features. The front seats incorporate air vents at neck level to diffuse warm air around the shoulders and neck of the seat occupant; there is an optional wind stop that can be stored in a compartment under the boot floor when not in use and to keep valuables secure without the need to raise the roof the glove box and front armrest storage lock automatically with the central locking. The roof itself takes 20 seconds to fold and active rear roll-over protection bars pop up if there is a danger of the car turning over.
The 308 CC will be available with a state of the art in-car entertainment and navigation system. A USB socket is fitted for MP3 player connection and there is a retractable 7-inch screen for the satellite navigation and Bluetooth phone connectivity. A ten speaker JLB hi-fi system will be an option.
Peugeot will officially launch the 308 CC at the Paris Motor Show in September. Prices will be announced nearer the UK launch, which is expected to be early in 2009.
