Snippet: Audi A6 Allroad gets green light - 2006 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro
As the current Allroad Quattro ends production, a new car based on the Audi A6 has been given the green light. The new model is thought to be nigh on identical to the Allroad Quattro concept car pictured here, and will feature the Quattro four-wheel drive system as well as air suspension with variable ground clearance. A name change to include the A6 designation points to a possible A4 version too. We'll know more after the Frankfurt Show this year. The A6 Allroad Quattro hits the showrooms during summer 2006.

Snippet: Nissan ties up with Fat Face to make special X-trail - 2005 Nissan X-trail (Fat Face)
Nissan has tied up with hip clothes maker Fat Face to create a new high-spec version of the X-trail SUV. Based on the Sport, the X-trail Fat Face comes fitted with satnav, a panoramic sunroof, roof spoiler and 17-inch alloys. Fat Face decals adorn the exterior too. The X-trail Fat Face is available in five colours as the 2.5-litre petrol (£18.995) or 2.2-litre diesel (£20,295) and deliveries start in August.

Land Rover's Defender marches on, with the special edition Silver model launched recently. Prices start at £24,595 for the 90 Station Wagon. Included in the price are an A-Frame protection bar, driving lamp kit, hinged lamp guards, sump guard, black chequer plate styling kit and wing top protectors, half leather seats, CD player and tow bar with electrics. Only 300 examples will be sold when it goes on sale on September 1st.

Peugeot's 307 was launched in 2001 and won the International Car of the Year award the same year. Its predecessor, the 306, had class leading dynamics that took nearly five years to be knocked off the top when the Ford Focus was launched.
