Snippet: Four star safety for Toyota's new Aygo - 2005 Toyota Aygo
Toyota's newest city car, the Aygo, has been awarded four stars in the EuroNCAP safety tests. The only other superminis to better this result are the Peugeot 1007 and Renault Modus. The Aygo's sister car from Citroen (the C1) achieved the same result, as no doubt will the Peugeot 107. Backing up the four-star adult occupant rating was a result of 3 stars for child protection and 2 for pedestrian safety.

Snippet: New sporty SUV to join Mazda range - 2006 Mazda CX-7
Mazda has announced that there will be a production version of the MX-Crossport concept car revealed at this year's Detroit Motor Show. The new SUV will be tagged CX-7 and should compete head-to-head with the Nissan Murano, though no details of specification have yet been released. We expect the production car to show itself at the Tokyo Motor Show in October. We'll be there!

Snippet: Prodrive power for Isuzu pick-up - 2005 Isuzu Rodeo (PPP)
Now this is just silly. We love the Prodrive Performance Pack (PPP) for the Subaru Impreza, and it is acceptable on the Forester, but now Prodrive has developed a power upgrade for the Isuzu Rodeo 3-litre pick-up! Power is increased from 130bhp to nearly 155bhp and peak torque is upped from 207lb.ft to an impressive 258lb.ft. The visual enhancements of the car in the photograph are not part of the package, which costs just £760. Forgive us if we don't rush out and test this car...

Review: 4x4x so much more - 2004 Subaru Forester (2.5 XT)
